Debating on colors for my '84 Corolla GT-SHatckback when I paint it later. I'd forego the kanji and katakana text. Clean is the way.

Is there any other way? the panda motif is what makes it great!
you see it alot online but I have never seen one in person. you would probably be the only one in your town.

If you don't actually run a tofu shop, don't do this. Also..these cars look pretty good in red and black.

I once saw a full Initial D AE86 replica down from where I lived, complete with tofu shop stickers, yellow foglights, RS Watanabes and the black & white paintjob. The numberplate even said AE86.

Panda looks good but it's not THE only way to do ae86.

More panda support

Maybe, I'm not sure. It does look excellent, but I've never been one for the obvious choice when it came to cosmetic modification.
It does look good though...
What are the other options?

Well, panda is....you know....stock..

Do it, panda looks amazing on those old Corollas. Bloody panda (red/black) looks pretty great too.

I second this. Yes, it's overdone, but it's overdone because it looks good. That said, I'd be looking at other, more interesting (to me) options before I defaulted to the Panda motif.
These cars do look great in red w/ black trim, and I think a nice dark silver/medium gray would look very good.

I had an Initial D replica rev his engine at me recently. That said, this isn't bad either:

I'm liking the sound of the dark silver/medium gray.
Perhaps dark silver/very dark silver in the same pattern as the Panda-style, especially if they were slightly matte with gloss-black wheels.

I had a Karin Futo in GTAV (very similar style car, pretty much a copy but not a hatch) that was red with the black bumpers/skirts and some yellow accents (yellow font below the door, yellow wheels, etc). It looked awesome.
So I vote red and black, although you can't go wrong with Panda.

I feel like it'd take a considerable amount of effort to make it look bad. I like the Panda scheme but on the other hand it would be cool to see what happens if you decide to get adventurous.

I really like a red GT-S hatch. Just saying.
